Watercolor Winter Moodboard
Dhritikana Nath, Watercolor Artist and Instructor
Project Instructions
A winter mood board in watercolor refers to a curated collection of colors, textures, images, and feelings that represent winter and inspire watercolor paintings based on that mood.
Textures and techniques in watercolor suitable for winter:
-
Soft wet-on-wet washes for snowy skies
-
Mist and fog effects
-
Layering for depth in trees
-
Glowing light effects
There are 4 projects in total and they are as follows :
- Monochrome Winter Landscape
- Winter Duck
- Evening Glow
- Castle Lights
Each project is independent and designed at a similar difficulty level, exploring a variety of subjects such as landscapes, winter nights, and soft morning glows. All the projects are taught in real time, allowing you to follow along and paint together with me. Before we begin the projects, we will go through a dedicated techniques section that covers all the methods we will be using in the upcoming paintings.
Grab your paper, brushes, paints and lets explore the magical season - Winter !!
